ADSL is the all-around "good guy" of internet access options. Taking over from the old-school dial-up several years ago, ADSL is a fixed line internet option that's versatile enough to suit most personal or business needs. If you have a current Telkom line you will be able to get adsl.

This is usually the best option for those who can't get Fibre or LTE at home. Although it's not as fast as it's younger siblings, it's still the most accessible and widely chosen option in South Africa - so bring on the connectivity!

IF CONNECTION ERRORS OCCUR

9/10 Times rebooting your ADSL modem will resolve the issue, if this does not solve your issue give us a call or mail us at support@maxitec.co.za and we will do a Port Recreate on the line

ARE THERE FASTER ADSL PACKAGES

Yes, however the newer wireless and fibre technologies are replacing ADSL at a alarming rate, and would be better to move to one of these services for faster, more reliable speeds & internet connection

TELKOM REMOVING ADSL LINES

All copper adsl/phone lines are coming to end of life. This means that your connection will need to be moved to either Wireless, Fibre or LTE. We can provide you with pricing on all of these products to suit your needs

CAN I MOVE MY ADSL

To be able to connect to an ADSL line, you need a Telkom phone line that is not on a prepaid service, then we can apply for ADSL on top of this service. Once installed, you need a ADSL modem with POTS filter to use the ADSL Service

MOVING FROM ADSL TO FIBRE

Most ADSL modems are too old to really be compatible with the newer Fibre technology, you will just need a new router/modem. All the rest will be provided by the Fibre supplier on installation

WHAT DO I NEED FOR ADSL
